Elimination disorders, specifically enuresis and encopresis, affect millions of children worldwide. Management of this problem is often a source of frustration for parents, especially as their children reach school age and beyond. For clinicians, having a good understanding of both the physical and behavioral factors that contribute to these problems is essential if they are to be successfully treated.
