Electrode-Electrolyte Interphases in Solid-State Batteries

Dr. Huaiyu Shao is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Applied Physics and Materials Engineering (IAPME), University of Macau. Previously, he served as an Assistant Professor at the International Institute for Carbon¿Neutral Energy Research, Kyushu University. He received his BS and PhD in Chemistry from Peking University and completed postdoctoral research at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (Japan) and the Max Planck Institute for Coal Research (Germany). His research focuses on next¿generation energy storage technologies, including battery electrode materials and hydrogen energy systems. Dr. Shao has secured over USD 3.05 million in research funding, published more than 200 peer¿reviewed papers with over 8,000 citations, and edited one book. He has been listed among Stanford University’s World’s Top 2% Scientists and is active in international conference organization, journal editorial service, and technology transfer, including award¿winning entrepreneurial initiatives in green and low¿carbon energy technologies.

Dr. P. Anandha Ganesh is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Energy Storage Materials and Systems group at the Institute of Applied Physics and Materials Engineering (IAPME), University of Macau, working under Professor Huaiyu Shao. He previously held a postdoctoral position in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Xi’an Jiaotong University, China, and earned his PhD in Chemistry from CSIR–Central Electrochemical Research Institute, India. His research focuses on solid¿polymer electrolytes for all¿solid¿state batteries, supercapacitors, electrocatalysts for fuel cells, and surface¿enhanced Raman spectroscopy for biomolecule detection. Dr. Ganesh has published 15 peer¿reviewed articles and one book chapter and has received several competitive fellowships and presentation awards. He is a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry and serves as a reviewer for multiple electrochemistry and materials science journals.
