Notă biografică
Vladimir I. Demidov has many years of extensive research experience in diverse areas of the field of plasma physics and chemistry, most notably in experimental studies of laboratory, industrial and thermonuclear plasma. He has paid special attention to the development of new and improved plasma diagnostic methods, including the development and improvement of electrical probes of various types and increasing the accuracy of their measurements. As well as publishing several dozen articles on probe measurements and the development of new types of probes, he has co-authored four invited review articles on electric probes in top journals, and he has also co-authored two previous monographs: "Probe Methods for the Low-Temperature Plasma Diagnostics" by V.I. Demidov, A.A. Kudryavtsev, and N.B. Kolokolov (in Russian, Energoatomizdat, Moscow, 1996), and "Introduction to the Kinetics of Glow Discharges", by Ch. Yuan, A.A. Kudryavtsev, and V.I. Demidov (Morgan & Claypool Publishers, IOP Concise Physics, San Rafael, CA, 2018).
Mikhail A. Malkov completed his postgraduate studies in Plasma Physics at Lomonosov Moscow State University. He specializes in investigating the parameters of gas discharge plasmas, as well as in developing mathematical models and diagnostic methods for them. He is known for his work in the fields of probe diagnostics and gas discharge modeling. He is also the author of works concerning self-consistent models of fluorescent lamps and other applied aspects of gas discharge plasma physics.
