El Rey: Becoming a Latin King: Youth in a Globalizing World, cartea 27

Autor Carles Feixa, César Andrade Traducere de Laura Styles
en Limba Engleză Hardback – 20 aug 2026
El Rey: Becoming a Latin King is the striking chronicle of three journeys: the journey of César Andrade (aka King Manaba) to his migrant past and his life as an Inca, a king, and a prisoner; the journey of Carles Feixa (aka King Book) to his meeting the Latin Kings and Queens of Catalonia and beyond; and their journey toward understanding the ways of life that gave rise to the Almighty Latin King and Queen Nation. This book is the fruit of multiple conversations over a period of twenty years, since the first meeting in 2005, which happened after a raid on a youth center in Barcelona, until the present. A journey through an arduous process of legalization, cultural projects with the hope of some acknowledgement, experiences in prison and finally, freedom. The life story of King Manaba is complemented by photographs and testimonies sent by relatives, fellow members of the King Nation and other related nations.
