This is a story of 11-year-old Eda who sewed her own "comfort" in 1892. Now we would call what she made a comforter or quilt. She embroidered images that represented her family and things they did during each season of the year living on a farm in Illinois. This book was written and illustrated by Eda's granddaughter, Marilyn Reese Blaze. Marilyn shows the reader 21 embroidered squares with companion illustrated scenes telling the story behind each image. Photographs of the completed quilt are also included in this delightful book.
