Compozitor Tracy Wong
en Limba Engleză Sheet music – 29 aug 2024
for SATB and percussion echo is musical celebration of human connectivity. It is singable, powerful, rhythmic, and contemplative. Wong reflects in her music and text the idea that 'the coming-together of many singers to a single location is also the coming-together of many ancestors [...] where they would not have intersected before this'. The percussion part is flexibly written for high and low drums. echo was commissioned by National Concerts and was premiered in April 2024 at Carnegie Hall, conducted by Marques L. A. Garrett.
