Three families are separated by centuries, yet bound together through time by their connection to an expanse of land in the Adirondack Mountains, and by the spiritual presence of past inhabitants: a Native American Mohegan family, a pre-Civil War conductor on the Underground Railroad, and a recently returned Korean War veteran, both with their brides.
