Eat Like a Farmer

Autor Megan Neubauer
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 9 mar 2027
Eat locally. Eat simply. Eat seasonally. Eat healthily. Eat Like a Farmer!

Author and farmer Megan Neubauer knows that it can feel overwhelming to grocery shop sustainably. Farmers markets and CSAs are a great way to find local, organic produce, but have you ever asked yourself, what do I do with all this Swiss chard? Or, what kind of carrot is that and how should I cook it?

Eat Like a Farmer is the answer. It explains the basics of sourcing produce, meat, and pantry staples the way your local farmer does it, with a special focus on the best tasting varieties of fruits and vegetables.

Then, in over 110 delicious recipes Neubauer shows you the best ways to cook your food through the seasons, such as:
  • Golden Beets with Caramelized Onions, Pine Nuts, and Feta and Strawberry and Tarragon Biscuit Shortcakes in spring
  • Eggplant and Potato Curry, Pork Chops with Stewed Peaches and Tomatoes, and Blackberry Pavlova in summer
  • Short Rib Chili, Maple and Coriander Carrots, and Pumpkin Rye Chocolate Chip Cookies in fall
  • Beet and Dark Chocolate Brownies with Orange and Ginger in winter

Eat Like a Farmer is about connecting you to your food, from the places and people you buy it from, to the moment it arrives on your table as a delicious meal.
