I have faced death in many ways: by the hand of another, by beast, by nature, but by the hand of the surgeon is the worst of all because it is by your own choosing and in good faith. I lost much when we crossed over, my friends, my wife, my children, and most of all who I was. I was a leader and roll model for youth, a coach, and a partner.
