Earth First!

Autor J. T. Hollin Jr.
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 3 aug 2026
We must not forget from whence we came. Honoring and respecting our planetary environment is critical. It is interconnected with our respect for one another, other cultures, and their Earthly places of abode. Each human has the inalienable right to regularly consume breaths of (fresh) air as such has been incorporated into the creation of the planet. This is self-evident, regardless of what faith or culture one practices. Humankind should not be remiss in accepting that a Creative Energy formed this planet first, along with all its oceans, rivers, continents, islands, and peninsulas. This formation occurred before any territory, country, or nation was even a twinkle in an explorer's or colonist's eye. As complementary life forms, certain types of animals and plant life evolved and were able to coexist, for the most part, in relative harmony with us humans. More so than any economic model, including benign or malignant capitalism, socialism, or totalitarianism, every country must make a deep commitment to look after Mother Earth, in accordance with that country's global location. One's respective religious beliefs or cultural worship practices should not override the appreciation of this planet and its inhabitants. Compassionate, selfless leaders must step forward and commit themselves. They must join in placing Earth first as a priority in their concerns, so as to provide a more hospitable, survivable, and fulfilling life for all inhabitants of Earth. S.E.C.C.

Notă biografică

The author, James Theodore (J.T.) Hollin Jr., was born in Tuskegee, Alabama, during the flight training of the Tuskegee Airmen. At the end of World War II, his parents relocated to Yuma, Arizona, where he attended elementary school and high school. He graduated from the University of Arizona in Tucson, earning a B.S. degree in aerospace engineering. After college, he completed U.S. Air Force pilot training and flew as a USAF pilot for five years. His duty assignments included flying as an F-4 Phantom co-pilot, and a one-year tour as a Forward Air Controller flying combat missions during the Vietnam War. The war experiences moved him to probe his soul as to man's compelling reasons for warfare, especially when driven by cultural and economic factors. Following military service, he briefly worked as an engineer with AiResearch Manufacturing Company in Phoenix. Moved by the spirituality of flying, he changed careers in 1972, becoming a pilot for Delta Air Lines in Atlanta. Over thirty-one years, he earned ATR ratings on the DC-9, and Boeing 727, 757, and 767 aircraft. He also flew as a captain on the Lockheed L-1011, McDonnell-Douglas MD-11, and retired as a Boeing 777 captain. While an airline pilot, he attended law school, received his Juris Doctor degree, and was admitted to the Georgia State Bar in 1979. He has continuously been concerned with the status of the less fortunate and the sacredness of planet Earth. The author presently works as a registered patent attorney, in addition to having begun a writing career, motivated by his having seen the inequity and frequent callousness in mankind's interactions with one another.
