en Limba Engleză Paperback – 2 mar 2027

The fifth edition of this classic manual for square-rigged sailing is fully revised¿with updates to every chapter, making it an essential resource for students at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.

Eagle Seamanship: A Manual for Square-Rigger Sailing has long been the authoritative reference for Eagle crewmembers, U.S. Coast Guard officer trainees, and tall-ship sailors worldwide. Fully revised for the first time in sixteen years, the fifth edition reflects changes to the ship, her operations, and her training mission. New chapters cover boat and deck operations, including boat handling, anchoring, rigging, dressing, and line handling, as well as a comprehensive overview of the updated safety program onboard. Further updates address structural changes made during service-life extensions, evolving concepts of operations, rigging and sail configurations, harbor preparations, sailing theory, and emergency conditions. With its extensive glossary, detailed diagrams, and practical guidance, Eagle Seamanship remains an essential professional resource for understanding and operating a square-rigged sailing vessel.
