Andy and Scott are nightclub bouncers and part-time stand-up comedians whose double act is falling apart. When they witness Britain's biggest comedy star shoot a heckler in front of a packed audience, they are stunned to see him walk away without consequences. Days later, the comedian disappears on the eve of the UK's most lucrative comedy tour.

Both men are offered a chance to revive their failing comedy careers by finding the missing star. What neither realises is that they have been hired by rival organisations. Former friends become fierce competitors as they are drawn into the dark underbelly of stand-up comedy, where fame, money and murder are no laughing matter.
