Ginny (F. Virginia Callihan Livingston, R.N.) was a pillar of strength and an example to her family in following the Golden Rule. As a poor farm girl, her hands took on the responsibilities of a grown woman when her mother died at childbirth with a baby in her arms. From an early age, Ginny was serving others before herself. It was a skill learned early and that lasted a lifetime
The love of family was important to Ginny. It was a sacrifice of hard work to accomplish farm chores and take care of siblings. Farm life provided a training ground for being self- sufficient.
With all of the trials and tribulations she overcame, Ginny developed a strong character and humble heart. This book provides examples throughout of how character and values were learned on a daily basis. When life takes a turn, the blessings lie in the lessons.
