Dumped is a coming of age novel set in Florida from 1944 to 1952. Lying in bed at night, Billy struggles to picture his mother's face, but can only envision her back as she walks away. With only the love and compassion of his grandmother's maid to support him, Billy is forced to find any way possible to survive abandonment, abuse, and unimaginable cruelty until an unexpected event changes his life.
