Patrick is a recently divorced, unemployed pianist wondering where his life is taking him. When he is contacted by a half-brother he has never met, Patrick soon discovers his father has left behind many other children, all of whom are searching as well. When a group of people, abandoned by the same father, agree to meet for a reunion, they discover they have more in common than just a sense of being abandoned. While aboard a ship heading through the Hawaiian Islands they share stories, drink to excess, and build a connection they never had before.
