Notă biografică

Lucy English is a novelist, spoken word poet and poetry filmmaker.Short films from her poetry film project, The Book of Hours, (2018) have now been screened at over thirty international short film festivals. Two films won first and second prize for the Atticus Review Video Poetry competition in 2018.Two more films from the project were part of an international curation of poetry films touring Australia, US, Nepal, and The Wrong Digital Biennale from 2018-20. The whole project was shortlisted for the New Media Writing prize in 2019 and is now held on the British Library database of digital work.https: //thebookofhours.org/Her recent project Cancer Alley (2024) is a poetry film hologram installation This was shown at The Watershed, Bristol for four days during the 2024 Lyra Bristol Poetry Festival. The original poetry film for this project has been screened at over 20 short film festivals including Zebra, Fotogenia, Jafest and Archfilmhttps: //canceralleyproject.com/Lucy English has three novels published by Fourth Estate. Dream Time is her third collection of poetry published by Burning Eye Books after Prayer to Imperfection (2014) and The Book of Hours (2018). She is the co-director the Lyra Bristol Poetry Festival and Professor of Creative Enterprise at Bath Spa University.
