An ancient language professor receives a mysterious book that contains messages from thousands of years in the past. Soon the professor finds himself and his nephew, a quantum mechanics experts, kidnapped by the American government. The captors order that a time machine be built. It is the beginning of an experience that turns the two men's world upside down.
