'Every case has a mechanism. Not every mechanism lets you sleep.
A patient predicts his doctor's car accident to the minute. A software engineer hears conversations three seconds before they happen. A night train runs a line that closed a generation ago. A house appears in a flooded field, its walls covered in photographs of people who were never there.
Dr. Aarnay Mitra has spent thirty-five years treating minds. Nothing prepared him for cases that treat him back.
From a therapy room in Washington D.C. to a haunted ropeway in the Swiss Alps, from a Himalayan village to a vanishing house on the Brahmaputra, this Bengali-American psychotherapist chases the line between what science can explain and what it can only witness - sometimes with a journalist, a neuroscientist, and a filmmaker at his side, sometimes entirely alone.
Every mystery here has an answer. Not every mystery stays solved.
Dr Aarnay's Enigmatic Cases is a journal of the cases that got under his skin, and stayed there.
