How far would you be willing to go to restore a loved one whose injury is permanent? Is one person's life so valuable so as to justify the sacrifice of the lives of more than one person in an effort to rescue that one person? Neurosurgeon Paul Neil becomes something of a mad scientist in his efforts to restore his wife Greer. But even if he succeeds with the experiment, is the human expense to great, and in its very nature will his efforts only prove to be futile?
