Dispossessed

Los Angeles native Dé siré e Zamorano is the author of the highly acclaimed literary novel, The Amado Women. Her novel Human Cargo, was Latinidad's mystery pick of the year. An award-winning and Pushcart prize nominee short story writer her work is often an exploration of issues of invisibility, injustice or inequity. A selection of her writing can be found in Catapult, Cultural Weekly, The Kenyon Review Online and Akashic's South Central Noir. She was a Tennessee Williams Scholar at the Sewanee Writers Conference. Her story " Caperucita Roja" was chosen as a distinguished short story in Best of American Mystery and Suspense, 2022. Previously the director of Occidental College's Community Literacy Center, she was instrumental in unionizing adjunct faculty. Her novel Dispossessed is forthcoming from Rize.
