You become overtaken by the trauma and even the drama associated with your experiences. At a very young age, God taught me that the struggles in our lives are opportunities for us to be healed and made whole. Like so many young women, I found myself looking for love in all the wrong places. Life Guarantees Disappointments Understand this: whenever we stray away from our upbringing and our parents' advice, the devil has traps waiting for us. I say that because I ended up in a relationship that took my life into a direction that I never imagined going in. I believe that everyone makes mistakes, and often, it is not the mistakes that define a person's character, but what they do afterward. I hoped in my heart that this man would redeem himself, be accountable for his actions, and work for my forgiveness. I hung on to the faith that he would step up to be the man I thought he was. But he didn't. And I found myself needing to be healed, instead.
