The premise of Death Note was very promising and it was executed well. In the beginning there is a bit of an information dump because the principles and the power of the Death Note needed to be explained. However, after the basics were revealed, the pace quickly picked up and the manga became addictive. This story can get pretty complex and I appreciate how the author put took the time to think everything through.
