Harsh lessons await two drug addicts, John and Jessica as they reluctantly join together on a psychedelic odyssey to help their friend Rodney, who has accidentally turned himself into a cockroach. They must search the sprawling desert wastelands that stretch between towering mega-cities and avoid or outsmart the cannibal death cults, devil worshipping rockstars and a television station that is trying to lobotomize its viewers.
