When Harry Hardin agrees to build a meditative garden at a religious retreat he has no idea what goes on in the back woods. A consortium of powerful men is developing a plague to rid the world of its poor. If this designer virus is released millions may die. Harry, a troubled POW himself, wants no part of the plot, but when his attempts to involve several government agencies fail, he is forced to act on his own. Aided by a run-away orphan and a few new friends Harry must race to stop the release of this lethal disease.
