Curiosities

A father-daughter hike turns into a once-in-a-lifetime adventure in this visually stunning picture book from Pixar veterans Robert Kondo and Megan Bartel.

Scarlett and her dad are going for a hike...but the paths they plan to take couldn't be more different.

To Scarlett, the forest is full of incredible treasures waiting to be discovered: rocks and trees with stories to tell, leaves that dance a ballet as they fall, even schools of flying fish made of fog. To her dad, the forest looks the same as it always does. Trees are trees, rocks are rocks, and there is absolutely no such thing as "fog fish."

But as Dad gradually learns to let go of his plans and embrace his own curiosity, a remarkable transformation takes place-one that even Scarlett couldn't have imagined.

This gorgeous and atmospheric picture book whisks away young readers-and their parents-on a truly unique journey. Along the way, it asks us to take a closer look at the world around us, and a closer listen to the people we love.
