A covergirl with a face tarnished by a death wish. A white contract killer disguised in black makeup. Neither was happy with his reflection in the mirror. Marjorie "Neesha" Steele was so bedeviled by the murder of her baby sister in a drive-by shooting in New Jersey that she became obsessed with ridding her hometown of a violent drug merchant, the man responsible for her sister's death. Her revenge against the murderer is inadvertently assisted by a notorious assassin from Philadelphia, who was contracted to take out that same drug dealer as an offshoot of warring crime families. After an abandoned baby is discovered, a raucous, illegal custody battle evolves into an unlikely romance between the intellectual African-American princess and the Italian-American thug, who ultimately was seeking his own redemption from his murderous lifestyle.
