Once it was underway, we realized that it would be beneficial to other gardeners, new or experienced, looking for practical guidelines to refer to each season while out in the garden. The step-by-step lists walk the gardener through everything from bed preparation, to planting, to harvesting, and can be referred to again and again so that the gardener doesn't have to "reinvent the wheel" each year. This is a book to carry into the garden with you. Get it dirty. Make notes in it, in the white space provided. Add your own ideas and innovations. Soon the book, like the garden, will be uniquely yours.
