The book examines five foundational hypotheses: that intelligence is eternal and cannot be created or destroyed; that moral agency is constitutive of intelligence itself; that God's own method of aligning free intelligences is covenantal rather than coercive; that this method has operated since before the foundations of the world; and that it offers a principled framework for the alignment of artificial intelligence.
