Count No Man Happy
Autor Scott Randallen Limba Engleză Paperback – 9 apr 2027
A childless professional couple trade cryptic YouTube clips instead of discussing their shaky marriage. Two unassuming government clerks carpool into the office for thirty years and never discuss much at all. A precocious six-year-old looks forward to her birthday party and accidentally realizes that her parents' happiness depends on hers.
The fatalists, catastrophists, and defeatists of Count No Man Happy struggle to repress their past troubles, evade future losses, and maintain an unwise hope all at the same time. But what if nothing terrible comes to pass? When none of their imagined disasters and misfortunes happen? Where does all that wasted worry go? With humour and inventiveness, Scott Randall explores how we stumble toward resilience despite ourselves.
