He has contributed significantly to copyright progress in India through his professional work, published books and articles, and policy engagement, with a focus on the creative and business dimensions of copyright law. In this book, he draws from his experience of advising creators, businesses, publishers, media houses, and technology-driven enterprises on copyright protection, licensing, enforcement, and commercial use. Dr. Kalyan holds a PhD in Intellectual Property Law from National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bangalore, India, and an LLM from UNH School of Law, USA.
