Nine dialogues built around the "I AM" sayings of Jesus in the gospel of John offer a fresh perspective while meeting the demands of extra services during the Lenten season. Through their interaction with Jesus, various characters gain insight into who Jesus Christ is and turn to him in faith. Each dialogue can be performed by two readers, and may be staged as elaborately or as simply as desired. Accompanying each conversation is a children's message that uses easily obtained objects to reinforce the day's featured "I AM" statement. The conversations explore the following statements: I AM the Bread of Life I AM the Gate I AM the Good Shepherd I AM the Resurrection and the Life I AM the Way and the Truth and the Life I AM the True Vine I AM He I AM the Light of the World Donald H.
