Constance and Valery Chalice: Haunted Town, the first book to be published by its author, a Chilean teenage girl named Roxana C. Alvarez, tells the story of twin sleuths Constance and Valery Chalice as they try to figure out the truth behind a double murder and the killer's suicide in a small, rural English town called Blackington. Despite the townsfolk's beliefs that the town is haunted, clever Constance suspects that a much more real, much darker force is at work. Accompanied by her less quick-witted, but admittedly much more responsible twin sister Valery, Constance is out to prove these crimes have a logical explanation by uncovering an insane diabolical plot. It'll be an adventure only over thirty pages long, but nevertheless packed with some sly humor and a few thrills, which should make it a short yet enjoyable read.
