Alfonso Guilin's two previous novels "The Lemon Thorn" and "Sweet Lemons" were inspiring. "Conflict Lemons" deals with the current immigration debate. Migrating from Mexico to California to seek back-breaking work and education and having to do it illegally is difficult and demeaning. As in his previous works, he weaves serious immigration problems into an entertaining novel.
