"What on earth have I done? I must be crazy." She was here. She stopped but didn't turn off the engine to her SUV, just put her foot on the brake and gawked at the sign that hung haphazardly from an archway supported by two rock posts on either side of the gravel driveway. The sign read 'Wildwood Lodge'. It was weathered and looked like it might fall at any moment. The knot that had formed in her stomach earlier in the day, tightened just a little more. Lexi Thomas has faced tragedy and heartbreak but that won't stop her from making a new life. An uncle she hasn't seen for years because of a family feud, has died suddenly and he's left her a guest Lodge in California's Napa Valley, that for some reason, he never actually opened. Lexi is determined that she will get it up and running, no matter what obstacles might stand in her way. There are people with other ideas, however and she finds that she is up against it right from the start. She has also sworn off men for good, that is until Carter Monroe shows up on her doorstep. Turns out the boy who was drop dead gorgeous when she knew him as a young girl, has grown into a man she will have trouble ignoring. She will need his help though because there are forces at work that could prove dangerous for even this feisty young woman.
