LET CLEOPATRA HERSELF TELL YOU HER LIFE STORY, IN THE FIRST PERSON, JUST LIKE A STORYBOOK.
Have you ever heard of pharaohs and their pyramids? You see, pharaohs were the kings of Egypt, and they built those impressive structures more than 4,000 years ago. Back then, my country was one of the most powerful civilizations in the world.
However, when I was born, Egypt was in crisis. We depended entirely on Rome, a rival power that had grown on the other side of the Mediterranean, and we were no longer as powerful, nor did we have a strong army. That was a difficult time: there were more fights than money on the streets of Egypt, and we were losing our culture and identity. That is why, when I was named queen, I did everything I could to help my people, to educate them, and to improve their living conditions.
My name is Cleopatra, and during my reign, I managed to restore some of Egypt's lost splendor.
This is my story.
