A history of the Catholic community of the Atchafalaya region in Avoyelles Parish, founded by Italian families at Odenburg, Louisiana. Later moved to Simmesport, the church has over a 100 years of historical interaction with the French Creole and Italian Descendants of the Yellow Bayou, Odenburg, Simmesport and Naples areas.
