Catch in the Tail

Autor Q. T. Porta
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 30 iul 2026
A collection of short stories from 1974 until 2026.
Capturing the progress on the path from chasing my tail in school, writing essays, and eagerly waiting to receive the elusive gold star, to having my novels published. The topics are reflective of different stages and experiences in life. Some are based on fact and others are created by my imagination.
The images of my essays reflect a different era where there were no laptops in schools and lined exercise books were used to document stories. My handwriting is like hieroglyphics in part so I hope you can catch the gist of the plot. The grades and corrections by the teachers are shown in the extracts from my school book which was my early introduction to editing and proof reading.
Throughout the decades the choice of words may appear to be inappropriate amidst our complex world of contradictions however they are integral to each character.
I hope you enjoy the feline theme on the front cover. Cats are intuitive and can comfort and cause concern in equal measure which is reflective of relationships.
Enjoy your trail through Ailouros Wood: an eclectic mix of trees with deep roots and dramatic flora.

Notă biografică

Q.T. PortaI enjoyed writing essays in school and wished for a gold star from the teacher. I retained that same level of hope for the next fifty years and with unrelentless joy can now say - "I am an author." My gratitude reaches out to each reader who takes their time to purchase the book. I trust you will enjoy the stories; and you never know they may give you paws for thought. I congratulate all Independent Bookshops who strive to remain open and contribute to a thriving High Street which is a vital part of a strong community.
