Notă biografică
Dr Esther Youd is an autopsy pathologist at the University of Glasgow, with particular interest in sudden cardiac death, maternal death and medical education.
She gained a medical degree at the University of Southampton in 2003, completed histopathology training in Southampton and Cardiff in 2010, gained a Masters in Medical Education in 2012, and has worked as a consultant histopathologist in Llantrisant, South Wales, UK and an autopsy pathologist in Glasgow UK.
She is Chair of the UK Cardiac Pathology Network, past Chair of the Royal College of Pathologists Death Investigation Committee, and reviews maternal deaths for MBRRACE-UK. She is the Royal College of Pathologists Clinical Director for Digital Pathology Education, a role which encompasses oversight of the Pathology Portal, an online educational platform. She is external examiner at Queen Mary University of London and a senior examiner for the Royal College of Pathologists Certificate of Higher Autopsy Training exam.
