Ryoma has a secret no one can know. Beneath his calm exterior, he's a dragon who has spent centuries quietly protecting the forests surrounding Cave Hills. Keeping his distance from people has always been easy until he saw her. Sadie was wandering the trails with a camera in hand, capturing the beauty of the land he has sworn to protect.
Conservation photographer Sadie arrives in the quiet town of Cave Hills hoping to document the local wildlife and inspire others to preserve it. What she doesn't expect is to find a home or to take on an eager young protégé with a passion for photography.
As Ryoma guides her to the forest's hidden wonders, shared hikes, quiet afternoons, and a mutual love of nature blossom into something deeper than friendship. While Sadie begins to imagine putting down roots after years of moving from place to place, Ryoma wonders if opening his heart is worth risking the secret he's kept for centuries.
After all, even dragons deserve a happily ever after and sometimes love grows one quiet moment at a time.
