Detective Terri Bush and her team of IMPD homicide detectives work to solve the death of Robert Van Buren, a twenty-five year old man found under a bridge in a rolled carpet. Their investigations uncover a contract for hire to retrieve a sex video that includes Van Buren and an unwitting young woman whom Van Buren tried to blackmail. Her leads include family members, security camera footage, disposable cell phones and an untraceable classified blog. She soon finds that the victim is a repugnant scoundrel, but murder is a crime and it is her team's job to solve it.
