A fire in Malibu, California abruptly changes Taylor Marsh Casey from a newlywed into a widow. Although Peter's death is considered an accident, Taylor believes he was murdered. As an agent for Art Research Kinetics, Peter suspected ARK was involved in a conspiracy of fraud at prestigious art auctions. Aware of dangers to her own life and despite warnings from a psychic, Taylor pursues his case leading to a famous auction up north.
