Burn the Cape

Raquel Martin, PhD, is an award-winning licensed clinical psychologist, professor, and researcher who specializes in Black mental health-an affirming, lifelong journey that encourages Black people to center mental health practices as integral and intentionally linked to success and wellbeing. She is also the host of the Mind Your Mental podcast, the creator of the Sanctuary, the largest mental health and education community for Black women in the world, and is a highly sought-after and renowned public speaker with a rapidly-growing and engaged following of more than 2.5 million across platforms. She is the creator of Burn the Cape, a national, low-cost support group which provides free mental health care to Black women, and is the co-creator of Break the Hammer, a national support group which provides low-cost mental health care to Black men.
