Prejudice and betrayal, the relationship between father and son, finding one's place in the world, marriage, love, the burden of beauty, and death are the subjects explored in the ten stories which comprise this first of two planned volumes of short stories. The author, Paul Silver, received his undergraduate degree in English from UC Berkeley and his law degree from San Francisco Law School. He lives in Northern California.
