Notă biografică
E. Ted Fujimoto has spent more than thirty years in the rooms where institutions decide what is allowed to happen - and what quietly will not.He has advised leaders across automotive, hospitality, finance, real estate, technology, insurance, media, entertainment, and education. Sometimes as the adviser brought in. Sometimes as a witness to how the fight ended. The industries changed. The pattern did not. Capable people with sound plans lost the work not because the idea was weak but because no one had taught them to read the power moving against it. The meeting stayed warm. The plan stayed reasonable. The work stopped moving, and no one would say why. That pattern became his life's work. Ted built the Agile Action Strategy Process (AASP), a discipline for turning intent into execution that could survive contact with real people, real politics, and real institutional resistance. In 1996, he co-founded Napa New Technology High School, the prototype for what became New Tech Network, a model now reflected in schools across the country. He helped shape the strategy and scale of Big Picture Learning. His work has informed the redesign of more than 700 public schools, supported the deployment of more than $1.6 billion in investment capital, and helped guide more than $500 million in philanthropy, including grants from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the Walton Family Foundation. His perspective has been sought across global development finance, education, and business, by the World Bank's IFC, WISE, K-12 Dive, and Black Enterprise.None of it resolved the question that first took hold of him: Why did good people keep losing - and blaming themselves? With Dr. Antonio Corrales, Ted is the co-author of Built to Deliver and Built for War. Built to Deliver is about turning a plan into reality when the system is willing to let you. Built for War is the companion book for the harder condition. It is for the moment the obstacle stops being confusion and becomes a threat, when the work stalls because someone understands it and knows what they stand to lose if it succeeds. It is the book Ted wished he could have handed every capable person he ever watched break against something no one had taught them to name.
