Based upon the popular The Men Who Would be Kings variant of the Rampant system, Bugles to the West is a set of wargame rules to play 'large skirmish' battles set in the North American Frontier. These conflicts include those of the Old West, Plains Wars, and various other frontier insurrections, with each having their own chapter giving details of the specific troop types needed, bespoke leader traits for each army, and the special rules for that campaign. Also included are a variety of adaptable scenarios, all applicable to the wars covered as well as a number of specific historical scenarios that cover larger battles from the era.
