The Spiral at the center of time and space has come undone, and it falls upon the shoulders of a bike mechanic named Will to put it back together again. Joining Will on his journey are a band of miscreants, rogues, and adventurers, each from a world threatened with extinction if the center of the spiral is not repaired. Lying in wait, however, are dark beings of chaos and nightmare who would rather have the framework of the cosmos fall apart than have Will and his comrades succeed.
