That's not what disturbs you. You've begun to see... things. It starts with a child who appears to you at night, whispering promises of glory and godhood. Sometimes it seems like reality shifts. Everything is a twisted parody of what it is in reality, and you know in your bones that this isn't simply a bad reaction to the painkillers.
