Abhishek Kumar Singh is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biotechnology Engineering at Chandigarh University, Punjab, India. He received his Ph.D. degree from S.V. National Institute of Technology, Surat, Gujarat. His research focuses on enzyme engineering, bioreactor design, biodegradable plastics, and biofuels. He has authored numerous research articles in collaboration with national and international researchers and contributed book chapters to reputed international publications. He has also presented his work at several national and international conferences. In addition, he has filed 10 Indian patents, of which 2 have already been granted.
Neelam Prabha Negi is a distinguished scientist in the field of biotechnology, currently serving as a Scientist -C at the CSIR-Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (CSIR-CIMAP), India. Prior to joining CSIR-CIMAP, she served as an Associate Professor (Biotechnology) at Chandigarh University, Mohali, India and as a DST-Women Scientist at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. Negi has successfully led and executed research projects funded by the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Government of India. Her research focuses on the genetic manipulation of plants to improve abiotic stress tolerance and enhance the production of valuable secondary metabolites, integrating approaches from molecular biology, genomics, and biotechnology. She has authored numerous research papers, review articles, and book chapters in reputed international journals and has presented her work at several national and international conferences. Her scientific excellence has been recognized through prestigious awards, including the Mahima Promising Scientist Award in Biotechnology, Young Scientist Award in Biotechnology, Young Scientist Award in Plant sciences by Society of Plant Research and the prestigious Hope E. Hopps Award from the Society for In Vitro Biology, USA (received twice)
