Nowadays, it is common to define tribology as the "science and technology of interacting surfaces in relative motion". It includes a study that deals with the design, friction, wear and lubrication of interacting surfaces. Consequently, biomedical tribology is defined as the tribological phenomena occurring in the human body. This book provides research and review studies on biomedical tribology.
