Peter is a married solicitor. A series of unrelated events disrupt his ordered existence and provide him with an opportunity to pursue his literary ambitions. These include a chance meeting with Sally, an enigmatic freelance journalist with a troubled past, the accidental death of a friend and the unexpected dissolution of his marriage.
